Welcome

Dear brothers and sisters, dear blessed families!

We would like to draw your attention to a new website of the European Blessed Families Department:

http://www.thm.bfdeu.org

This website was created more than one year ago. Unfortunately it didn’t come to life yet. The website is intended to serve as tool for building a European network consisting of families, brothers and sisters, who want to take special care of our Second Generation with special needs. We don’t want to limit this to a small group of people, because we are all unique in our own way and still on the path to maturity for the eternal spiritual world.

HJN turned the department “Special Needs Ministry” into “Treasures of Heaven Ministry”, to show us the value of brothers and sisters with special needs. Finally, nobody of us can live autarchic, but depends on give and take with other fellow humans. In case of people with special needs this is shown us quite plainly.

As parents of Treasures of Heaven, we know the unique challenges, pains and joys they bring to our daily lives, and we sometimes feel alone and isolated.

It is our hope that this department of the BFD can facilitate networking, sharing and mutual support amongst families and friends of our ToH.

We would like to have a contact person in each nation, and eventually even for the different categories of ToH (as for example, physical disabilities, mental handicaps, psychological problems, Autism, Downs Syndrome and so forth – there is a wide range in sorts and seriousness!)

At the recent 4th European Parents Matching Convocation in Rotenburg, Germany, we heard some heart warming and encouraging testimonies. We would like this website to be a place where such testimonies can be shared. Your journey with your TH can be a source of encouragement and support to many others!

Please feel free to send us testimonies and ask questions. You can also suggest sections, of which you think we should add them to the website.

Our goals at this moment are:

1. To find representatives in each nation
2. To facilitate networking between parents of ToH
3. To organize meetings and workshops for parents on a national and European level
4. To plan holiday camps for ToH and their families, supported by a wider community of Blessed families and sec. Gen. (as they do in America already!)

We hope this letter will be helpful to establish the ToH ministry in Europe,

May God bless you,
